About Glass Gas Hob
Glass hobs benefit from being smooth surfaces that are easy to clean without damaging the glossy, reflective finish. As an alternative to stainless steel, glass hobs provide different options in terms of colour choice whilst still having many of the practical qualities of steel finish hobs.
Gas hobs are often celebrated by lovers of cooking over the electric contact alternatives. This is due to the fact that the flame is clearly visible and provides a very intuitive way to judge the heat being applied to food. Additionally, heat can easily be increased or decreased with immediate affect rather than the slower reaction times of contact hobs. The rings are easy to clean with frames and parts being removable.
Hobs usually come in three configurations, with two flames, four flames or with five flames. Depending on the type, these flames might all vary in their size. This means that the ring with the size most appropriate to a pan being heated can be used in order to cook more efficiently and effectively. Smaller rings will be suited to, for example, a milk pan, whilst larger rings will serve a wide paella pan.
Different hob configurations will be more appropriate for different cooking styles, for example, if a user expects a larger amount of wok based cooking then a five ring hob with a large central ring will provide the best solution. Additionally, if a user expects to be heating multiple plans at once then a hob with more rings will be required.
