About iPad 2
Released in 2011, the iPad 2 is Apple's successor to the popular iPad. The tablet is available with either 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB storage and there is a choice of Wi-Fi only or cellular connectivity. Bluetooth comes as standard. Powered by a powerful 1GHz dual core A5 processor and a PowerVR graphics chip, the iPad 2 can play movies, music and games effortlessly. It has a bright 9.7 inch screen with a 1024 x 768 resolution and you can play video from the iPad 2 to your TV with an optional AV adapter. The built in front back cameras can take pictures and shoot video in high definition in addition to letting you make video calls with other Apple users thanks to the FaceTime app. Like the original iPad, it has a lithium-ion battery that lasts for up to 10 hours, depending on usage. Apps The iPad 2 comes with several apps, including Safari, FaceTime, Mail and Photos. Games, movies, music and apps can be downloaded from Apple's iTunes store; it has tens of thousands of apps to choose from, including Twitter, Facebook, apps for supermarkets, the BBC and much more. Users interested in productivity apps can download Apple's iWork apps - Pages, Numbers and Keynote - which offer wordprocessing, spreadsheets and presentation capabilities. Creative users can download iPad versions of GarageBand and iMovie. Accessories There are a number of accessories available for the iPad 2. These include a smart cover - a folding cover which doubles up as a stand - Bluetooth speakers and keyboards.
