About iPhone 5 16GB

The iPhone 5 is the sixth generation of the Apple smartphone. It succeeded the iPhone 4S in September 2012, and was replaced by the iPhone 5S and 5C in September 2013. Like its predecessor it features touchscreen technology, the iOS 6 operating system and virtual assistant Siri. Innovations included a new thinner, lighter aluminium body, (123.8 mm x 58.6 mm x 7.6 mm), available in black or white, and a taller, almost 16:9 aspect screen. It featured a faster, more energy-efficient Apple A6 SoC (System on a Chip) with its superior Graphics Processing Unit. It was the first iPhone to use the new-style compact Lightning dock connector. The upgraded 5S is similar, but additional features include a new 'home' button with built-in Touch ID fingerprint recognition, an updated camera with bigger aperture and dual LED flash, and the A7 - the first 64-bit processor ever used in a smartphone. It also introduced a new, separate motion processor and iOS 7. The iPhone 5C (for 'colour') is a new version of the iPhone 5 designed for affordability. It retains the A6 chip, has no fingerprint recognition, and has a coloured polycarbonate body casing. It also runs iOS 7. Like the 4S, the iPhone 5 and 5S come with fixed storage capacities of 16, 32 or 64 GB and without memory card support. The 5C comes with 16 or 32 GB capacity. 16 GB is plenty if you use your phone mainly for voice or text communications. An hour of 1080p video can take up roughly 10GB of storage, and high resolution stills can also be surprisingly large, but even if you do like to create or download large image, sound or AV files, remote storage like iCloud or Dropbox can make 16 GB a manageable option.
