Unlike the traditional guitar, the lap steel guitar sits on the player’s lap and he or she plucks the strings. With a lap steel guitar, musicians play chords by depressing the strings using a metal or glass bar on the middle finger of their non-picking hand.

Aficionados are familiar with all three lap steel guitars: both the acoustic and electric lap slide guitar and the resonator guitar. Play Hawaiian, bluegrass, country, and Western swing music with one of these beauties.
