About LG Sound Bar
LG soundbars are designed to improve a TV's sound quality, offering a surround sound-like effect without requiring users to install multiple separate speakers.
A soundbar is a slim plastic bar with a row of speakers built in. The soundbar is usually positioned directly underneath a display such as a TV or computer monitor, although some bars can also be wall mounted via a bracket. When correctly positioned, the soundbar augments the display's inbuilt speakers, offering crisper highs and cleaner bass sounds. Some LG soundbars also have a separate subwoofer, allowing for significantly improved bass response.
The output from LG soundbars is controlled by the 3D Surround Processor, an intelligent system designed to replicate cinema sound. Once calibrated, the 3D Surround Processor can analyse sound input and replay it through the bar in such a way as to create a ?true? surround sound effect.
Soundbars can also help to reduce clutter in a living room or office. Most LG soundbars have wireless functions built-in, allowing the TV and bar to communicate over either Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and eliminating the need for separate cables. In addition, a single soundbar and subwoofer system takes up far less physical space than a regular 5.1 or 7.1 surround speaker arrangement.
LG's Portable In system allows soundbars to be used as a speaker for mobile devices. Portable In is a 3.5mm interface that can connect to any device with a standard headphone jack, including smartphones and tablets. As such, LG soundbars can make a useful replacement for a full-size stereo system.
