About Skybox F5
The Skybox F5 is incredibly easy to install, all you do is plug in the aerial and the power cable, and you're ready to start watching any free to view channels immediately. There is also the option of plugging in an ethernet cable - this opens up further options, including an apps section with things like Youtube installed directly on to the machine. The channel list downloads in no time at all, and it only takes the push of a few buttons on the controller to get things working. If you don't have any cables long enough to reach your Skybox F5, there is a slot for you to insert a dongle that will allow for a reliable wi-fi connection.
The Skybox F5 supports 1080p, full HD and in some cases 3D viewing. With the use of a USB stick, you can record HD channels with no problem at all. The interface is extremely easy to use too, allowing you to set up times to record certain channels with ease. Many free to view channels are available on the Skybox, including the BBC channels, ITV, channel 4 and their associated spin-off broadcasts.
The box itself has a sleek and smooth black design, with no ugly card slots or disc trays on the front that could spoil the aesthetics of your entertainment area. All of the ports you need are at the back of the box, including a multi CAS card reader, a USB slot, and the necessary HDMI outputs needed for a crisp picture.
