About Sony Vaio E Series
Sony Vaio laptops are known for their high quality computing capabilities, top performance, sleek designs and reliability - the E series is no different.
A brilliant series of laptops featuring full HD, Blu-ray and top of the line processors, the Sony Vaio E series also offers configurable parts so you can choose which specifications best suit your needs and budget.
The series replaced Sony's consumer notebook NW series and features a distinctive 'wrap around' design which is vaguely reminiscent of the Sony Tablet S. They are compact and offer great multimedia features that you'd come to expect from larger, more bulkier laptops.
Although the specifications are customisable and vary from different machines, the 15-inch VPCEBZ0E/B, as an example, features a crystal clear HD display, 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium, 2.26GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 500GB hard drive, 4GB RAM, a powerful ATI Mobility Radeon HD graphics card, three USB 2.0 ports alongside a high-speed eSATA/USB port. This particular model also boasts a full-size keyboard complete with numeric keypad, an easy-start 'WEB' button for fast internet browsing, webcam, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR.
Another notable feature of the E series is the hand gesture control function that means users can actually control their laptop simply by moving their hands in front of the webcam (powered by Exmor for PC) - which is a nice touch you won't find in most standard laptops.
Sony later added a couple of larger range laptops, including a 15.5 and 17.3-inch display model, that featured a bit of a screen upgrade; the VAIO DISPLAY Plus Full HD screen.
