About Xbox 1 Controller

The Xbox 1 was launched in November 2013, as a successor to Microsoft's Xbox 360 console. Rather than just being a games console, the Xbox 1 was launched as a home entertainment device with a wealth of additional functionality above and beyond the Xbox 360 console. The system itself was not the only part to see developments, the Xbox 1 controller is also very different from its Xbox 360 predecessor. This wireless controller does resemble the Xbox 360 controller in terms of looks, but it has some fundamental differences. The Xbox 1 controller is based on over 40 improvements to the Xbox 360 version. One new development was that of Impulse Triggers, which offer fingertip vibration feedback to take Xbox gaming to a whole new level. The D-pad was completely redesigned for the Xbox 1, optimised for both sweeping and directional movements in any type of console game. The Pick Up And Play features means that the Kinect will automatically understand who is playing, and will recognise which controller they are holding. Thumb sticks were made more responsive, and the Xbox 1 controllers also included a new wireless radio feature that enabled movements to be picked up faster by the Xbox console. The curves of the controller were designed with ergonomics in mind, meaning that the Xbox 1 controller fits comfortably in your hands, no matter how big or small your hands are. It also has a range of 30 feet when used wirelessly. It also has an expansion port, meaning that devices such as headsets can be plugged in with ease.
