For people rather confused, here is a list of terms which you might encounter on Ebay.

Auctiva: A site which allows you to upload pictures onto Ebay.

Bid Retraction: To try and remove a bid placed.

Dashboard: Where info about your search standing, policy compliance and Powerseller (see below) status is shown.

Dutch Auction: An auction where you have to chose how many of a particular item you want to buy.

Keywords: Words that people often type in Ebay searches which you have placed in your title.

Keyword Spamming: To wrongly use keywords.

My Ebay: Page showing what you are buying, what you are selling, are what you are watching.

Paypal: A secure system of paying online, linked to bank accounts.

Powerseller: An experienced Ebay seller.

Shill Bidding: The (illegal) practice of bidding up your lots or getting a friend to do it.

Watching: To observe a sale, either to see how it goes or to bid on it later.
