An Assured Finish

All of our aluminium sheet comes with a standard 'mill' finish.  This is exactly how it leaves the manufacturers mill, hence the name.  Metal Assured only buy from reputable mills meaning the quality and finish of the material is of the highest standard.  The image to the left of this caption is a typical finish.

Fabrication Guide

We recommend that any fabrication work carried out on any grade of material should only be done with tools dedicated to material in question. Tooling and work surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned before use. These precautions are particularly necessary when working with aluminium to avoid cross contamination by easily corroded metals that may discolour the surface of the fabricated product or in extreme cases, shorten the useful life of product.

Can I bend 1050 grade aluminium?

Yes, in a word! 1050 grade aluminium is the softest grade of aluminium that's readily available making it the easiest and also best choice for folding.  You can make multiple folds in 1050 before it would snap or even weaken.
