Just briefly, when you see a listing description saying an item is in the public domain, and therefore usually a copy on DVDR , do not necessarily believe what you are reading.Bootleggers are increasingly saying that they have 'checked' the titles copyright status but rarely provide specific references allowing the us to verify his/her claim. SOME legitimate PD titles exist, especially older material from the 40s & 50s but for movies and  tv from 60s onwards it is worth contacting the seller for source information regarding the status of that item. There is a market for genuine rare video-tapes which is being erroded by the tape to disc converter falsely using Public Domain legitmacy as cover while in reality in breach of Ebay Policy.
