Do not accept Collection in person

We recently sold a 3D TV on ebay, the buyer contacted us and asked if they could collect the TV in person, they paid by paypal and when paypal informed us by email that the money was in the account we agreed for the buyer to collect the TV.  3 days later after transferring the money into our bank account we were contacted by ebay and paypal to say that the buyers account had been hacked into and the money would be held until an investigation, well after 3 hours of speaking to ebay and paypal we were told that because the buyer collected and we had no proof of postage we would lose the claim, losing the money and obviously no sign of the tv, It is not clear on paypal that they do not cover you if you accept collection in person, I have spoken to so many people who are not aware of this and also the policewoman who is handling our case was not aware of this either,

If people can hack into other peoples ebay and paypal accounts they are obviously not secure systems
