we all want the very best money can buy for our beloved child but with so many pushchairs available how can we really find that perfect one without having to try hundreds and possibly spend hundreds too.
its simple really - look at these 5 basic points -
what is your budget? anything from £20 - £250, set your budget first as this makes it easier to choose.
how old is your child? if younger than 6 months then you need a pushchair with a reclining back, preferably one that lies flat.
what will be the pushchairs general use? day to day? so need something comfortable but robust, holidays? then look at ones that are lightweight and compactly fold? an extra one to stay at grandma's? then you need a simple operating pushchair.
what additional extras do you need? a basket? raincover? footmuff? suspension? lockable wheels? footbrake? adjustable harness? wipe clean fabric? drinks holder?
finally, what type do you want - 4 wheeled or 3 wheeled?
there are 3 basic categories of pushchairs - cheap, no frills but do the job - shops own brand,
-your box standard 4 wheeled umbrella folding pushchair e.g Maclaren, Silver Cross
& your ultra trendy turn heads - Quinny, Bugaboo
personally speaking i think you can easily whittle the list down to looking at one particular brand from each of the 3 categories and then make your choice. have fun!!! let me know if you find that perfect pushchair. ive finally found mine after the 3rd purchase!
