Parking Sensors offer you all round parking protection by using revolutionary technology to sense, detect and alert you to obstacles within a set proximity of your vehicle. Commonly known as a Car Parking Sensor, Parking Aid or Reverse Parking Sensor they ultimately enable you to carry out accurate and safe parking and reversing manoeuvres without the anxiety of bumping your Car, Vehicle, Van, 4x4, Motor home, Caravan, Trailer or Horse Box. It is literally like having eyes located in your front and rear bumper.

Rear Parking sensors have rapidly grown into the biggest selling add-on product with new vehicles and also sell in the millions as people fit these to older vehicles, this is also known as retrofit. With an increase of vehicles on our roads and in towns and cities parking has become a challenge at the bets of times, add to this that cars have higher backs and fronts your vision is restricted more than ever.

So we've all heard of parking sensors and know the positive benefits of having one fitted, but what about protecting the front of your vehicle.

Front Parking Sensor:

To add even greater accuracy, detection and protection to your vehicle when parking and to further reduce the potential for an insurance claims, you can now get all round protection by adding a Front parking sensor easily and effortlessly to your car or vehicle. So what are the technologies on offer?

Ultrasonic V's Electromagnetic Technology (PD1)

There are 2 types of parking sensor technologies available on the market. The older less reliable technology is ultrasonic and typically uses 4 or 6 sensors that mount in the bumper for all to see. Holes need drilling in your bumper to mount and they need painting to match your bumper colour.

Also many ultrasonic systems are physically too deep to install in to bumpers, due to the crash protection bar behind the bumper. The PD1 eliminates this problem!

The Parking Dynamics PD1 Front uses a unique Electromagnetic Technology, typically used by a few elite car manufacturers and offers a design that discretely mounts preserving the 'new factory look' of your vehicle, so only you will know it is fitted.

Ultrasonic technology having 4 or 6 visible and exposed sensors does need regular maintenance and cleaning. Electromagnetic technology is not exposed, is self diagnostic and requires no maintenance.

Many accidents occur because drivers can't see the corners of their car and how far the edge of the bumpers protrude from the rest of the body. The electromagnetic design allows for this, as the antenna covers the entire length of the bumper and this is superior to the ultrasonic type that cannot detect objects at the very corners and onto the sides.

Introducing the "No Holes" Parking Dynamics PD1 Front Parking Sensor

The Parking Dynamics PD1 Front Parking Sensor uses a No-Drill, No-Holes, Unique, Discrete, 100% Responsive and Reliable Electromagnetic Technology making parking Safer and Easier, preventing Bumps, Scrapes and Tragic Accidents. Whatever vehicle the PD1 is fitted to, you can rest assured that the aesthetic clean lines of your car and bumper will be untouched maintaining and maximising its resale value.

The Parking Dynamics PD1 now comes with 2 sensor pack options, Front and Rear. Both packs work on the same ultra effective electromagnetic concept and operation but have 2 very different alert tones to distinguish them apart. Both work independently on separate circuits and ultimately give you the all round protection required for effortless and bump-free parking manoeuvres.

The front sensor will not only protect the front of your car or vehicle, if you have a spoiler or splitter fitted this is fully protected, from low kerbs that may be hidden and ready to scuff your car bodywork.

Technical Operation:

The Parking Dynamics PD1 Front sensor is controlled by a push-button switch, that when pressed activates detection range, alerting you to all obstacles. Unlike the rear sensor, the front Parking Dynamics PD1 sensor allows you to drive very close to the object in front of your car, before it gives you a constant tone, alerting you that you are close enough to the obstacle. This refined accuracy allows you to park in extremely tight spaces.

Compatibility Guide:

CAN Bus Systems

Many new cars and vehicles now come with the CAN Bus multiplex wiring system fitted. The PD-1 is fully CAN Bus compatible and requires no adjustment or extra accessories when installing. Beware of ultrasonic systems that require extra wiring and relay components in order to integrate with CAN Bus.

CAN Bus is a multiplexed wiring system used to connect intelligent devices such as Electronic Control Units (ECU's) on vehicles, allowing data to be transferred in a low-cost and reliable manner. CAN means 'Controller Area Network' and was developed by Bosch in 1980. Many new cars and vehicles use this system and it is becoming increasingly difficult to install after-market products without using a CAN Bus compatible device.

Vehicles with a Metal Bumper

The Parking Dynamics PD1 is NOT compatible with metal bumpers straight out of the box. However with a few insulating adjustments to your metal bumper, the PD1 will be fully compatible.
