General Information Of, And Instruction For The Use Of, Kolor Kut Water Finding Paste

 

Kolor Kut currently comes in two flavours, one of which is suitable for Petrol,Diesel and Gas Oil and the other is suitable mainly for Bio-Diesel. This product originates from the USA and it a top quality paste that changes colour on contact with water.

Kolor Kut for Petrol/Diesel, as pictured above is golden brown in colour and turns brilliant red upon contact with water. The product will successfully gauge water content in all petroleum and hydrocarbons as well as sulphuric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, ammoni, soap solutions, salt and other chloride solutions.

This version of Kolor Kut comes packaged in 3oz tubes.

Directions for use: Place a thin film on a clean gauge line or rod to the approxiamate point where water level is expected to appear. Lower the tape into the tank until the bottom is reached. The level will appear by positive contrast of colours. It is instantaneous in petrol, diesel, kerosene and gas oils. Heavy oils may require a few seconds for the paste to adjust.

Pictured below is the Kolor Kut for Bio Diesel, also known in the trade as Kolor Kut: Modified

Kolor Kut: Modified changes from Dark Brown to Bright Red on contact with water but also can change to Yellow with Phase seperated alchohol solutions with as little as 6% water.

Kolor Kut Modified comes in 2.5oz tubes. Directions for use are pretty much the same as before.

Availability in the United Kingdom is scarce, and unfortunately as a result prices are not as cheap as maybe they could be, however, you would not regret getting your hands on some of this stuff as it is probably the best available
