Hardscape - Justine Scott

However, moving on to this week's book, Hardscape has everything any great crime novel should have. It has a great murder plot with an excellent adrenaline-fuelled storyline, a street-smart detective with the usual 'I don't like to talk about it' past, good-looking, intelligent women and true-to-life characters.
The story starts in a different way by telling us about the main man in the book, Benjamin Abbot. Benjamin is a Wall Street trader, the usual high-powered active 1980s go-getter type. He ends up doing a spell inside before returning home to his small Connecticut town where he grew up and turns to his family's estate agent business to make a bit of cash.
A private detective hires him to video a bit of bedroom action and hopefully catch out a cheating spouse called Rita Long, husband to Jack, a couple of newcomers to the area. Murder then becomes part of the plot and Benjamin turns private investigator.
You'll really get into the realistic plot which has everything to keep the reader enthralled and I guarantee that it will get the heart pumping faster, making it hard to put the book down.
