Tips for maintaining your leather handbag

Avoid putting your handbag in direct sunlight, this will dry out the leather causing fading or cracking.

Do not expose your leather handbag to excess water as this can damage the leather

Avoid using harsh or abrasive cleaners as this will cause damage to the surface of your leather handbag

Generally it is not advise that you use alcohol, bleach or ammonia-based cleaners (e.g. Windex) as it can damage the finish to your handbag

Do not use oils, polish or any product that contain wax or silicone on your handbag as it may damage the leather leaving it feeling sticky

If you are using a sponge to clean your handbag we advise a natural non coloured sponge as the dye may run from the coloured sponge on to the leather of your bag

Do not use baby wipes or alkaline cleaner on your leather handbags as it can damage the finish

if you have any loose threads on your handbag do not pull on them. Simply burn the loose threads instead.

If the zips on your handbag start to get a bit stiff, rub wax on them, being careful not to get it on the leather.

Use the dust bag provided as this will help to protect your bag when you are not using it. DO NOT store your leather handbag in a plastic bag as this will encourage the growth of mildew and mold!
