This is a science fiction futuristic thriller, staring Will Smith as Detective Del Spooner and Bridget Moynahan as Dr Susan Calvin.
Technology has moved to the extent that all homes have robots, which are programmed to always obey their human owners and never harm them.
However a leading professor at the US Robotics establishment is killed. Spooner is convinced that it is a Robot responsible for killing him. His belief is that mankind is becoming more dependant on the Robots and is only a matter of time before the Robots themselves will try to take over the world. Spooner alerts Dr Calvin about his worries, but instead of getting to the truth of the murder, they find themselves in danger as they discover that there is corruption at the very top...
The idea for the movie was taken loosely from the stories of Isaac Asimov; the film stays true to the spirit of the renowned sci-fi writer’s acclaimed work. It explores the ethnic issue about artificial intelligence.
I. Robot is a great film with plenty of fast, furious action sequences, keeping you on the edges of your seats. I fully recommend watching this film.
