This “cook book” contains motivational "recipes" from women (most of us mothers) to help you stay motivated on your journey towards becoming a successful internet marketer. We all run internet based businesses and make money using the internet.
My name is Diane Corriette and I run the online business Women Internet Marketers at women-internet-marketers.com
For a mother running an internet based business offers the potential to work at home while the children are at school and even after they go to bed. It provides you with the flexibility to keep your hand in business because you are running your own business.
It offers the opportunity to connect with other fabulous women who run online businesses and most of all………
……….. It will give you an opportunity to earn an income for yourself and your family.
But the important thing to remember is…………….
If you do not know what you are doing online you WILL become unfocused, chase the latest ideas one after the other, and waste your energy on activities that steal your money and your time. Women Internet Marketers was set up to support women in stopping that from happening.
So I have written this guide that contains comments from my internet marketing friends to help you in your journey towards online riches.
Consider the internet as a medium to long term business strategy for making money. Take a little self belief, add a pinch of inspiration, mix it thoroughly with some great connections and leave in the “oven” for a couple of years.
What you “cook” is a fabulous internet based business with great potential if you are willing to listen, learn, and take action. Here's a great poem to get you started :
If you think you are beaten you are
If you think you dare not, you don’t
If you like to win, but you think you can’t
It is almost certain you won’t
If you think you’ll lose, you’ve lost
For out in the world, we find
Success begins with a fellows will
It’s all in the state of mind.
If you think you’re out classed, you are
You’ve got to think high to rise
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster person
But sooner or later the person who wins
Is the person WHO THINKS THEY CAN!

The internet offers an opportunity to reach a wide market if you are effective in how you market your business. The best thing is your “shop” never has to close. It will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to anyone that chooses to visit. Not only is the potential for customers huge, but the number of areas you can focus on online is also huge, and this article only provides a small “flavour” of some of the things you can do including :
Affiliate Marketing - This involves you selling the products of a supplier and getting paid.
Niche Marketing – Niche marketing is basically marketing your website to a particular group of people in one area.
Membership Sites – A site containing a group of people all interested in the same area
Information Websites/Google Adsense - Google provide adverts that can be placed on your website, when someone clicks on this advert you get money (don't get any ideas about clicking it yourself, Google monitor that and ban you forever!).
Turnkey Businesses - A turnkey business (also called plug-in) is a business that provides everything for you. You will usually be given a product, a website and/or some training/tools in how to market.
And of course there is Ebay :-)
There are many home based business opportunities and I encourage you to research and find out which one works best for you before getting yourself involved in one. I also encourage you to focus on one (or two at the most) and enjoy earning a living from them before moving on to running another business.
My friend Bonnie Boots once told me that creative work isn't found - It's made so if you are waiting for your dream to come to you it just isn't going to happen. You have to work towards what you want, especially if you really want to be doing something creative and you aren't. If you work as a waitress but you really want to sing you need to make calls, meet people, get in front of their face. Waiting tables may pay the bills but if you truly want to be doing something else that burning desire will never leave! So discover what your passion and purpose is and then go for it. Bonnie is a great writer you can read her work at bonnieboots .com
Without Action nothing happens says Trish Jones. Trish is another internet marketing friend of mine who sat around unhappy. Can you imagine the directory of a movie shouting "camera, lights......" and then nothing. Everything would come to a stanstill. Are you not shouting that final word at yourself? Take action and fulfill your desire. It takes strength and it may not always be an easy road but at least you will be spending your time doing what you love to do. Trish loves to write blogs and some of her best ones can be found at trishjones .com
Tracy Repchuk knows about taking action. She is a best selling author and believes that everything you need to know to take your next steps will be revealed if you allow yourself to believe that. Tracy was 22 when she made a fortune in business before her husband took her staff, money and business and moved across the road! She got through that and went on to run another successful business, write and win awards. Tracy believes that in adversity we truly discover who we are and if you are willing to believe in what you are doing you will succeed. You can find out more about tracy at tracyrepchuk .com
Vanessa Bsirsky believes that the choice is always yours whether to be happy or not and that the circumstances don't always have to dictate how you end up feeling. Obviously there are huge events that have a dramatic effect on us but we are talking here about how you feel when you go to work, or how you react to what someone says to you. At each moment there is choice and your decision creates what happens next. Vanessa talks about happiness on her blog happiness-secrets-revelaed-online .com

5 Motivation Tips to Have A Thriving Business and Happy Life is what Lorraine Cohen likes to talk about
You’ve probably been thinking about where you are in your business and your life. You have, right? Now that you have a starting point you can focus on your destination. Where do you want to be in a year, five years, or ten years? In setting your sights for the future, be sure to identify the results you really want rather than what you think you should want. This point is so important because if you’re not pursuing what you really want, the likelihood of feeling fulfilled with your success is low.
Below are some tips to help you get moving and stay moving.
1. Show up. You have identified three things you want to have this year, right? Ok, how badly do you want them? To create anything you want, you must be fully on board to do whatever it takes to make it happen.
2. Put your attention on the destination, as if you were already there. Create a course of action that ignites your excitement.
3. Execute. Take action. Otherwise, you have good intentions that go nowhere.
4. Reassess your progress periodically. 60-90 days is a good time frame to re-evaluate what’s working and what’s not so that you can make needed adjustments.
5. Create a motivation strategy. Make a list of people and things that energize and juice you. Include things you will do when you become discouraged or distracted such as taking a 10 minute break, calling a friend, and using the tools you have to stay motivated and focused.
And avoid the two excuses that people use to stall taking action
Excuse #1 – I don’t have the time. Time issues are really about how you schedule your time rather than trying to find more time.
Excuse #2 - I can’t afford it. Funny thing about this excuse…. somehow people find a way to make things happen when they want it badly enough. What do you think it might be costing you to keep this excuse – money, peace of mind, your dreams?
How about that for great advice from Lorriane. She's a great coach and has a number of free audios on her site at powerfull-living .biz
Once you have your online business you will want to focus on publicity but it doesnt have to be online only. Try writing a press release. My friend Chantal Cooke helps businesses do that and this is how she told me was the best way to get free covering in the media
The place to start is with a press release. The key point to remember is that the press release is your communication with the journalist and not with your customers or the journalists’ audience. So make sure you give them what they need to know.
1) A clear “it says what it does on the tin” headline. Clever headlines that don’t tell you anything are not helpful.
Journalists receive 100s of press releases every day – so make sure yours is clear about what it is, straight away.
2) Get to the point as quickly as possible, lots of waffle and “sales talk” is irrelevant. Journalists are busy and don’t have time to read lots of prose. Use bullet points if that’s clearer.
3) Be clear about who you are. You need to be credible so ensure that you give, briefly, some information about yourself or your company. In other words ask yourself the question “why should anyone trust my expertise in this area?”
4) Be sure to add your contact details – landline, mobile, email and web site. Journalists often have tight deadlines so make it easy for them to contact you.
Remember if they can’t reach you they will probably go elsewhere.
5) If you are sending the release via email put it in the body of the email, not as an attachment, and be sure that the layout is easy to read.
You want to make it as easy as possible for them to see the content. Extra files to open, closely packed text, reams of irrelevant background information are all ways of stopping journalists looking at your information.
Finally, when you do send out the press release, make sure that you have someone available to talk to the journalist. Don’t send the release if you are about to go on holiday. If they follow up on it they will need to speak to you further. So make sure you have a spokesperson available, who knows their stuff and feels confident speaking to the media.
Chantal runs a fantastic online radio station called Passion for The Planet .com and is really passionate about broadcasting and the environment.
So that's it! The above is our guide to you about staying focused on achieving success online. I hope it helped and I look forward to providing more guides, inspiration and motivation right here on Ebay.
