Guide to assist sourcing, printing & making Reproduction die cast model boxes & copyright issues

Spruce up your die cast car collection by producing boxes to replace damaged or missing ones.

A mint condition box accounts for upto 40% of the overall value of  your model vehicle. i.e if a mint condition boxed model is valued at £100, with no box even with the car in mint condition it would only be worth £60.

Is It Legal?

From  a copyright point of view NO it is not illegal to produce reproduction boxes, Typographical copyright exists for 25 years from the date the model was made.

It is an offence to mislead people by implying that a reproduction box is an original & if you are making repro boxes for resale it would be best to state this clearly on any listing
