What is Mega Mass 4000 and how to take it

Mega Mass 4000 is a great product, this review is about the good and bad aspects of Mega Mass and how it should be taken. Don't worry about the bad aspects if you know how it should be taken.
One thing you should know is that it is not a protein shake but a weight and mass gainer. If you take 8 scoops of this mass gainer shake with whole milk it's going to be more than 2000 calories, and if you double it then it's 4000+ calories, hence the name Mega Mass 4000!

The Good
Mega Mass 4000 has a good blend of whey protein concentrate, soy protein isolate, albumen (dried egg white) and whey protein powder. One of the great things about Mega Mass 4000 is a great blend of great ingredients (see the list at the end of the review) of essential amino acids, vitamins, zinc, calcium, iron etc. For example, Zinc and B Vitmains are an added advantage, for example, workouts drain your zinc levels, so with Mega Mass 4000 you don't have to worry about depleted zinc levels.
Creatine Monohydrate is added with this supplement. The amino acids arginine, glycine, and methionine produce creatine in the body. The main purpose of creatine is to provide an inorganic phosphate to resynthesize ATP (adenosine triphosphate, which is the immediate source of energy for the muscle contraction) during high intensity activities. With creatine monohydrate you have enhanced endurance and strength, energy, and post workout recovery.
As you may know most mass gainers or body building shakes and protein powders for bulking up do not contain creatine but Mega Mass 4000 has creatine monohydrate. So if you're interested in creatine and additional endurance you don't have to buy the expensive creatine monohydrate separately.

The Bad
The carbohydrate is maltodextrin, which is a polysaccharide often used as a food additive, personally I dislike this one, because maltodextrin is a poor choice for carbohydrates as it uses 104 grams of carbohydrates per serving. If you are a skinny person it's a okay because it helps you bulking up however, it won't be lean muscle. This ingredient is to make you "fat" quickly, especially if you are the type of person who take the shakes but hates the gym, so you need to watch it and exercise properly and regularly.
Another thing, if you are using the recommended Mega Mass 4000 three servings per day, 104 x 3,that's already 312 grams of carbohydrates! Maltodextrin is a common ingredient in colas and sweet products like candy, when 46 grams of sugar per serving, that is 46 x 3, 138 grams of sugar in the recommended serving, you really need to watch out the high calorie intake. One of the main ingredients in Mega Mass 4000 is dextrose, also known as D-glucose, grape sugar or simple sugar, which is a simple aldosic monosaccharide (simple sugar) found in plants. Starch and cellulose are polymers derived from the dehydration of D-glucose.
However, there is still good news, B vitamins in Mega Mass 4000 helps you into converting carbohydrates into energy and follow the tips and recommendations below.

The Tips and Recommendations
Since Mega Mass 4000 has contains a heavy load of carbohydrates and sugar, it is recommended to use skimmed milk, preferably non-fat or one percent fat milk. Avoid adding eggs, fruits or honey into the shake as it will spike carbohydrates and sugar.
This is one important recommendation, take a quarter or half tea spoon of fenugreek seeds with water before you take the Mega Mass shake, especially if you are diabetic or have high blood sugar. Fenugreek seeds are great for reducing the sugar absorption and controlling blood sugar levels. Mega Mass 4000 also contain chromium which also helps not only controlling sugar but also slows calcium loss.

Additional Benefits
There are some benefits other than getting "mega mass" if you look into the full list of ingredients, you will see biotin, calcium, iron, zinc, chromium, ornithine alpha-Ketoglutarate(OKG), 2-carnitine etc., which are good for bones, hair, skin, controlling blood sugar and cholesterol, eye health and higher athletic performance.
Weider Recommended serving Size: 6 Heaped Tablespoons (150g)
Weider Recommended serving: For desired calories per serving use an electric blender or shaker to mix MEGA MASS powder with water or milk. For best mass and strength-building results, consume MEGA MASS between meals as well as before and after training.

However, you can control the serving of your own choice, for example 50 grams before an intense workout and 100 grams after the workout. Though it is known better as a post-workout shake, you can have a shake before the workout which will helps your endurance, blood flow and controls the oxidative stress.
