This company advertises laptops with (for example) an Intel processor rated at (say) 1.6GHz. They then claim that this is equivalent to 3.2GHz. This is thoroughly disingenuous.
If a processor has two cores running at 1.6GHz this is as fast as they will go - 1.6Ghz each.
Two cores running at 1.6GHz DOES NOT EQUATE to a 3.2Ghz machine.
