This item is neither a review or a guide, just an observation by an established member who is not too impressed by PayPal policies.
I, like many others have a bank account set up as a funding option for purchases made with PayPal.
Why oh why is PayPal able to INSTANTLY transfer funds from my bank account for purchases and yet take up to a week, maybe longer to let me have MY money when I withdraw it!!!
I of course understand the policies of clearing banks and institutions whereby they 'hang on' to our money for as long as possible before letting us have it, but I think the PayPal issue is very much a 'one way street'

Below is the standard PayPal letter sent after a withdraw is instigated:-

Dear

Your request to withdraw funds via electronic funds transfer from your PayPal account to your bank account ending in ****, has been received and is in process.

This process usually takes 5-7 working days to complete but is dependent on your bank's policies.

If there is a problem with your request, it may take up to one week for your bank to notify us. We will notify you immediately by email if we learn of any problems in processing your request.

Yours sincerely,
PayPal

I particularly find the second paragraph bemusing... Never come across a bank yet that has a problem accepting money!!!

This notice is really a protest from a 'valued member' according to eBay & PayPal, who thinks it's time for a bit of fair play!!!

Please take the time to give this item a YES vote by way of your agreement.

You never know... If enough of us keep 'rattling their cage' maybe they will take notice and do something about it!!!
