How to make the most of eBay deals when shopping for a craft fair!

Step 1:
Write a list of essentials and desirables. Haven't got a craft table? What about a table cloth? Have a smart plan of things you want and need - this will save you buying expensive things at the last minute.

Step 2:
Budget, always have a top price in your mind. Really despeate for jewellery findings but not willing to pay more than £5? Then don't! There's always a seller out there selling them cheaper.

Step 3:
Try thinking of different key words that would describe the item you're looking for but aren't the same! This can throw up all kinds of new and unusual items that  you may have never even considered but once you see them you can't live without!
Also try and look up spelling mistakes. i.e earrings hoops might be earings hops!

I have found fabric paints for £1 when the shops like Easons are selling them for £6.00 each! The quality is just the same as you would find in most craft shops. Where do you think they are getting their stock?

Job lots of craft items for a pound are also very common on eBay if you look carefully. Just remember to check the postage, sometimes buyers will let you pick up the item for free!

Tips
-Buy in advance! Start searching immediately because if you can wait 1-2months for your item, you can buy from China which is ultimately cheaper!
- I recommend that you search and watch items regularly, so you can compare buyers and prices.
-Don't be afraid to use the refine button. It helps filter out a lot unwanted items that have made their way in to the search.
-Don't always think that auction items are always cheaper. Check the buy it now price as often there are deals just waiting to get snapped up!
-Look through the seller's other items as sometimes they focus on certain products for certain things (kitchenware, children's clothing). Also don't forget to contact them and ask if they can offer a discount if you buy more than one of the items they are selling. They may also offer combined postage discount.
