I always get a proof of postage reciept to say I posted the item, The buyer pays for the postage if they want it recorded delivery they can have it recorded but e-bay stops you from putting extra options on postage they need to scale the postage system so the buyer chooses and knows the risks envolved with that method of posting.
. If you read the claim form from royal mail it asks for a reciept for the Item which many people won't have as many items are second hand, the buyer should claim ( the seller should send them the proof of postage by recorded delivery) and then they have a reciept ( e-bay invoice ) for the item and the proof of postage and then they can claim for the full amount.
And I think this would stop a lot of this saying they haven't recieved items when they have . E-bay really need to look at this as e-bay always seem to come down on the side of the buyer which is wrong as the seller pays E-bays wages but has none of the backing that a buyer has..... We Always have to take the buyers word for it and E-bay always believe that their buyers are HONEST. WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE E-BAY................
