What exactly are the RARE 20p and 2p?
Had to write this as I feel that there are many people who dont understand or have misunderstood the recent royal mint 2p and 20p thing.
The ONLY 20ps that are RARE are the ones that have been minted 2009 and on the head side have had the year date omitted.
The tails side of all the 2008/2009 coinage HAS NO DATE this is the design not an omittion.
The ONLY 2ps that are RARE are the 1983 'New Pence', not any other at the moment. The New Pence were the pre-decimal coins. In 1983 the royal mint did a limited circulation of 'New Pence' (as they had changed to two pence in 1981 I think)
2p with anything other than 1983 New Pence - value 2p
20p with anything other than headside date omittion on the new design - value 20p
