1937,1943 Halfcrowns and other Irish coin rare dates, are increasingly being sold on ebay but are forged or replica coins.

Most serious coin collectors will know how hard it is to obtain these coins in better grades. Many are being sold on ebay but are forgeries. Please be careful when buying, and make sure you are buying from a long standing Irish coin seller, otherwise you may be bidding on a fake. ....

Simply, take these 2 steps to take before bidding :

1. Check out the grade and images of the coin, ask the seller if the images provided are of the actual coin for sale. A genuine seller will have no problem to assure you its the real deal

2....Grade seems too good?
>>Then, Check the sellers` feedback, they are either :

(A) The seller is a long standing Irish coin seller, with several thousand positive feedback ratings = Most likley then it is a genuine coin,so get bidding!

(B) The Seller is NOT  long standing, only a few hundred or less feedback ratings. = Most likley is a fake/forged coin

For the 1943 + 1937 Halfcrowns, this is becoming more common unfortunatley, but is not always stated in the title it is fake.

Please read the full listing description also, and if unsure, simply do not bid.
