I started crafting late in life so it has taken a while to find the right tools for the right job so to speak.  When it comes to scissors I think I have tried every type of scissors under the sun whether they be household scissors or dedicated craft scissors and it has been a lengthy and somewhat expensive road BUT the best scissors I have found for my paper crafting needs and still do are NAIL scissors.

I started this by accident, couldn't find any scissors small enough to cut round some intricate decoupage but came across a pair of nail scissors in my search.  These were the type you got in a gift set you know the type they had the half moon curved blades basically the shape of a nail, I used these for decoupage cutting round curves suddenly became an easy task.  Now I don't do so much decoupage but I still use nail scissors this time straight edge ones, they have fine blades, always sharp and snip everything from card to ribbon.

So the moral of the story is, search your make up bags and if you don't have any then buy a pair they don't cost the earth and if you don't like them you always have another purpose for them .... your nails !

Hope you find this a useful tip
