SELLERS' TERMS OF SERVICE - ATTRACT BIDDERS!

Very often as a buyer I see an item I am really keen on but the Sellers' Terms of Service seriously put me off bidding...

Namely: "I will not be held responsible for items lost or damaged in the Post"

Well... sorry but sellers ARE responsible for lost and damaged items! It is THEIR responsibility to see to it that items reach their destination in the condition they are sent. Sellers can always post their items and retain Proof of Postage and I ALWAYS send everything Signed For. I give the bidders the change to choose 1st or 2nd Class RECORDED: that way, I am automatically insuring the item up to £36 or pay a little more if the item is worth more than that. Within 2 weeks of the item not turning up I simply fill in a Royal Mail form, I get reimbursed, the bidder gets refunded and everyone is happy!
