I have always found most sellers to be really helpful at identifying the products they sell many tell you in their shops online just what the mineral content is of the product i.e. Tibetan Silver as until I started making craft jewllery I did not know the composition either. Thanks to those sellers who share this information with beginners like myself also they let you know details on semi precious and manmade stones etc. I do find that a quick question or email works wonders and most e bay stores are more than happy to share their enthusiasm for the products they sell in the CRAFTS section anyway.
Just one persons opinion but I know about Sterling Silver 925 anyway and the local library has books on hallmarks etc.Anyone can look those up and check it out.
