if you dont have a scart input on your tv. or if your vigin+ or any other device does not have an rf output , but has scart (most do) then you can youse an rf modulator to achive the same result .
connect the rf modulator to your eg. dvd player. then take an rf cable to put one end in the rf modulator (out) and other end in tv.
You can also feed a second tv by the same way . I used the rf modulator to feed my virginmedia v+ to a tv in the bedroom , using a 15mtre cable and surprisingly the picture was excellent. make: (mercury) I bought mine from ebayer: electromartuk2000.

The pass through scart on the other side is also usfull to connect to tv , whilst you use the rf out put to feed another tv.
To changel channels from the second tv in another room , away from the v+ box I use an infra red sender , which I bought from b&q. not sure if they still do them, but one of the most recommended ones is the pyramid remote or infra red sender.
