Setting your Limits

Like if this guide is helpful

EBay is a great place to bag a bargain or find that treasured childhood toy you lost in 1978. However know your limits. Its weasy to get carried away with yourself and end up paying too much for an item when their becomes a bidding war.

Your adrenaline kicks in and your natural instinct is to want to win it by any means. First past the post gets the prize, its exciting.

Set a ceiling price for yourself. If there is one person selling an item, its possible someone else is too.

Do your searches, even badly spelt ones. Its incredible that typos get through but they do. And sometimes that means you can bag a bigger bargain.

Remember to look in different categories. Sellers can often list their items under than more than one.

Save out your searches so you can compare what each thing is selling for. Create a watch list. If you do bid set a maximum price for yourself and then leave it. EBay will inform you you have won or lost. Then you have bought with a clear head and no buyers remorse.

Do your research, try not to get auction fever. Enjoy the hunt and ask yourself do you really need that knight rider lunch box ?
