Should I buy a case for a Mobile ?

I'm using a S5 as example phone

One of the hardest questions is should I put a case on my S5?. Well it is up to you to decide something that you'll realize after you use the phone for awhile both with and without a case. However, should you drop it without one and you have no insurance it can be very costly(as I've found out.
You might think that cases are only for the vane  that care about keeping their phone pristine, but there's more to it than that cause think about this no matter how careful you are, gravity will win at one point it will most likely drop You'll probably drop your phone at least once or twice or more like me lol. How much protection you need, though, depends on your Enviroment ie are you mosly inside on carpet or do you work in a building site s5  phones are in my view built a bit tougher, and are more likely to survive the occasional drop (I'm speaking from lots of experience here).
Protection is more Than just looks : Even if you don't care about the occasional scratch or even shattered back, there's more to your phone than that like protecting the lens on the camera then also think down the line when it comes to selling it on you will get more if it's been protected.
A Case Won't Save You From Every Drop: and of course it depends on what you buy. A cheap £1.99 one may look ok but probably won't take a battering A soft case will protect you from breakage better than a hard case but  no case is completely immune from damage—it just depends on how your phone hits the ground. It will protect your phone more  than no case at all, but whether that's worth the other cons is up to you such as being bulky etc. You have to think do you want to carry it in a pocket or bag or clip it on a belt? If it's going in a pocket you don't want a big bulky case but if your outside all the time a big case might be better. Or if you are near water a waterproof one would be good.
Im outside mostly so at the moment I'm using a Tech21 impact case which I find is better for my needs as it as like a rubber implant round the edges that absorb the shock and believe me I've dropped it a few times and it's suvived. I did use an  otterbox before on another phone and trust me it took a lot of hits lol but was uncomfortable in a pocket but was perfect for rough terrain. But overall it is your choice think practicality more than just looks as a nice pretty case may not be the best answer.
