The Hyper Sonic Resonator - 'Prototype' RESCD001

A new project by  keyboard player and composer Neil Wright, spinning out of his successful production of  World Service's 2006 CD, and from The Yampy Werewolves sessions. (soon to be released) However this record is staunchly electronic and sees Mr Wright turning away from garage/punk/psych into experimental and melodic electronica. He claims to have invented a new form of musical instrumentation which relies on a more advanced musical language. It is a very soundtrack orientated disc at first but blossoms into some fine lyricism too. 'Tropical Conrete' has that haunting sense of menace and wry observation that is the hallmark of Mr Wright's style - and as an EP, it reverses the convention of putting the pop song first. The Hypersonic Resonator has placed their signature tune 'The Best of All Possible Worlds' at the end of the disc. The Musicians come from a wide background of playing, featuring members of several legendary groups; members from Betty & The Id, World Service and Megatory all appear on this disc.

A second  EP 'Old Peculiar' is expected in June 2007.
