Hi, thanks for looking at my guide to getting the best vintage corgi collection. In this guide I have put vital information about the working features of the best vintage corgi cars ever made. I have written this guide for budding collectors and professional collectors everywhere.
Mercedes-Benz 600 Pullman
The first vintage car you should louk out for is the Mercedes-Benz 600 Pullman which was made in 1965(66) which had working windscreen wipers, which was powered by turning the back wheel.
The second one you should look out for, and this one is one of my favourites, is the Austin A60 driving school it was produced between 1964(66) and was painted in a lovely blue with a white stripe across the middle.
The third one you should look out for is the Buick Riviera, which came in a wide range of colours and if you are trying to win one then make sure that it's trans-o-light system is working.
Aston Martin DB5
The forth one I'm sure a lot of kids around the James Bond time had, is the Aston Martin DB5, and I only found this out when I bought one, is that the original one was the smaller and in silver with the pop up bullet screen and the turning number plate and the tyre slashers AND the ejector seat with the villain.
And the Corvette Stingray, was a perfect example of a American muscle car, made between 1964(66) the stingray had the best technology for it's time with it's pop up headlights, which popped up by pushing the number plate in. GREAT!
Rover 2000 TC
The Rover 2000 TC was in my view the most technologically advanced car made then, when my dad got it me when I was a kid I thought it was amazing when I pulled the golden jacks down and I could get the spare tyre from the back and attach it, and when I lifted the golden jacks back up the wheel didn't fall off.
And last but not least the Ecurie Ecosse racing team truck, the Ecurie Ecosse racing truck with the three cars was the biggest seller ever produced by corgi, with it's pull down ramps and sliding crew doors. It was every boys dream!
