WARNING - Sideshow items from China

I have a lot of Sideshow LOTR statues, figures, enviroments and busts. Yes im a geek! I have also been purchasing a lot of the newer items from Ebay after Sideshow decided to dump their European Warehouse - I just hate paying extra VAT and FedExs costs! Anyway, Ive noticed that a lot of the items from China at the moment are fake - the Balrog, probably the most desirable statue, typed as Balrong on the external cardboard box, CaveTroll typefont different to that from Sideshow, etc etc, When youre spending £1000+ on an item - use a bit of common-sense. Yes, it may be a guy who worked in the factory that painted the statues and has been sitting on them for ten years or he may be the only dealer in mainland China with a huge store of them to sell, just to you and cheap, BUT he probably isnt. More likely there is a group of guys making okay copies of very desirable items that we all want but cant get. Read the stuff on counterfit fraud on Sideshows website - and if it looks to good to be true, it as always, it is too good to be true!

If you have purchased it and it looks dodgy - the speak to Ebay asap. Youll get your money back and they can sort the seller out.
