be very wary when posting to unconfirmed paypal addresses outside the EU. i had the unpleasant experience of shipping a £70 item to a buyer in the USA in good faith- as i do nearly every other day, only to find an email from ebay stating that fraudulent funds are being investigated and the transfer has been put on hold. you then provide them with the item number, address, customer info a DNA sample and more- as if this is not readily available to them??? and after a few days the money is taken from your paypal account and there is nothing you can do.
i would strongly advise against posting to ANY unconfirmed addresses outside of the EU (which can usually be tracked and claimed as lost with the post service) as they are not covered by the buyer protection scheme and even with recorded post you only find out that "your item has been passed to our overseas branch" - which is a great help.
you will find yourself stranded, out of pocket, and very annoyed that both ebay and paypal let you down to be honest- buyer protection is fine but what about seller protection? anyone can state they did not receive an item or that their account was hacked and leave you at a loss.
looking out for the ebay community
