If you have a faulty laptop, then why not remove the hard drive and make yourself a backup drive for your next Laptop or Desktop Computer.

All laptops use a standard hard drive that is either IDE or SATA, the drives can easily be removed from the laptop.

Once removd the drive can be fitted to special external hard drive case (also known as a caddy).

Laptop caddy's usually cost less than £10.

This is also a cheap way to recover the data from it as you will be able to see all of the old documents when you plug it into your new computer or a friend's computer.

£10 well spent we say.
