check gold hallmarks for genuine marks

Like if this guide is helpful
when buying hallmarked gold rings its a good idea to check the markings on arrival - as most older rings are usually slightly dusty ingrained with age - take a qtip @ clean out the markings to check that you have the correct ct that you purchased/ recently ive found that rings i bought as 18 ct were in fact 9ct @ its too late now to rectify it/  9ct is 375 @ 18 is 750-- after all if you buy in good faith only to find youve paid far too much for the wrong carat of gold- it can be upsetting to say the least // hope this will help thanks ///
