fraudsters trying to hijack your ebay account

if you recieve an email threatening you with negative feedback, reporting you to ebay, as you havent paid for an item,

you see the id ref number, you click on it and are then faced with a ebay sign in screen ....DONT SIGN IN...

instead copy the number , exit the emails, sign in securely into ebay yourself and paste the number  into ebay search...... and you will find there is no such item.

this is all such a simple scam to gain your user name and password.

if you are unfortunate to fall for this scam, you will find yourself locked out of your account because the scammers will have changed the email address and password on your account within minutes of taking over it,  phone ebay security up immediately, they are very helpfull and will reset your password and email address .

remember... its your account....sign in securely and dont answer to emails about items unless they are in your questions blog on your account page.

many thanks for reading this guide and i hope it has been helpful.
