be careful when buying items from buyers with feedback of less than 90%, it is more than likely that your transaction will go smoothly but look for 'power seller' icons or simply buy from more established sellers if you are new. in my opinion eBay is virtually bulletproof if you want to buy an item from someone who has, for example, sold 500 items with 100% positive feedback recieved from buyers due to the obvious commitment from the seller. low value items will undoubtedly cause less stress and are an excellent place to start and a great way to build up feedback if you intend buying more often.
remember: if frequent contact is made when an auction is won (e.g. offering an address and telephone number if nescessary) the seller will feel confident that you are serious about the transaction and is more likely to be honest with you in return
