i purchased a set of cufflinks as a christmas present for my husband which were sent from america even though it stated a uk destination.

i recieved the item but they were damaged so after contacting the seller i sent them back by recorded post, after checking they arrived the seller said i'd recieve a new pair within the week...i didn't and after about 5 days of ignored emails i filed an item not recieved claim with paypal who i'd paid through.

they contacted the seller who then contacted me saying he'd been on holiday and he'd sent another pair out to me, i naively cancelled the claim and when they still didn't arrive was informed by paypal that i couldn't re-issue the claim as according to them it had been resolved.

i ended up out of pocket and those cufflinks never arrived, by this point i couldn't even leave bad feedback as the link had gone from my account!!
