looking after vintage jumpers

When you buy a vintage jumper or cardigan from a vintage shop or perhaps from a market or charity shop there is a danger it may have moths or other insects which can reek a trail of destruction  on your retro clothes collection. The quickest and cheapest way to stop this happening is to place the sweater or cardi in a clear plastic bag; date it and put in the freezer for 3 to 4 days. Then give it a shake and gently dry it out on a hanger for a day!  Any insect will die in the -0 conditions!
