'Castles' Cottage on Eday, Orkney

'Castles' Cottage is a stone built cottage under a stone slate roof which was completely renovated in 2006 including a complete re-wire, all new plumbing and central heating. Except for the bathroom the cottage's walls and ceilings were completely re-plastered, the lounge, kitchen, hall and porch floors were tiled while the bedroom recieved a new insulated concrete floor. The cottage also had new Upvc tilt and turn windows fitted though out as well as new internal pine doors, frames, architraves and skirtings. There are lawned gardens to the front and one side of the cottage and a fenced vegetable garden to the rear approx 80ft x 45ft containing a 30ft x 14ft polytunnel frame. The cottage has mains electric, mains water and telephone connected and drainage to a private septic tank.

'Castles' Beach
To the front of the new house is ‘Castles Beach’ which is accessible from the front of the property. It truly is a magical place loved by young and old alike with beautiful white sand, caves and clear, clear water.
