Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best-selling in Microscopes
This stereo microscope has high quality optics and NOT some cheapo telescope stuff. The LED provides super lighting on the chipboard work area with a hood that protects the viewer from light reflection. The interchangeable optic-lens' are easy and smooth to adjust focus. The flexible view-finder and eye piece basses spread to different nose & eye width for parallax relief. The scope is a dream to own and use for one who does a lot of circuit-board soldering. It allows you to have boo-coo room to solder. I recommend the 10x & 15x eye-piece sets if you're buying this professional scope for soldering PCB's. If you buy the 10 & 20 sets, you'll probably never use the 20 set because it's too close in magnification for soldering. Different than the older model scope which has an florescent light, this model has the LED light mounted on a goose-neck pole, and a longer hood on the 1X driver. And if you want to use the scope for extreme magnification, viewing objects at micro level (and not for soldering), you can buy the optional 2X and switch between the two with the easy slide-in-out rails. You can order the 2X and other eye-piece-set separately from the company manufacture -if you want. I love this stereo microscope...and believe me, if you like to solder and want lots of room (height) over the PCB, this is the scope to buy and at a fantastic price compared to other scope companies and options for viewing the work-piece...won't be disappointed. Remember, if you're buying it for soldering, get the microscope that has the 1X (not 2X) driver and the set of 10X and 15X optical lens-sets with LED lighting. The only thing I would recommend for future production is changing the silver slide-rods to a higher grade steal alloy to prevent groves from forming over time and usage. Finally, I might mention, that for soldering in the 5X range, my preference is the large (11" x 7") 5-power magnifying glass that is attached to a separate flex-arm. This magnifying glass also has lights on each side (underneath)...while soldering or de-soldering, I can see a much wider/larger field-of-view with that 5-power magnifying-glass device I bought from Amazon.Read full review

I got this scope mostly for SMD soldering and PCB inspection, and it blew me away. I have two more expensive scopes at work, and this is just as good as one and better than the other. It's super easy to assemble and doesn't take up a lot of workbench space, and it also comes with a dust cover so you can fold it up and cover it when it's not in use. I love the option of the different lenses, how easy it is to adjust the height and to focus, the option of tilting the scope up and down for angled viewing, and especially the built-in light. Every other scope I have used required an external light, which means it takes up more space. The gooseneck light on this is easy to move around and super bright, plus it uses LEDs so they will last a lot longer without having to replace the lamp. The only thing I could possibly think of that would make this better is another lamp so you can get light from different angles to reduce shadows, but that's not a huge issue. I love the quality, I love the price.Read full review
