For Sale, my 12 man family tent.
history of the tent so far:-
Purchased in June 2010 off amazon as our first family tent, we have used it for the last two years in spring, summer and autumn with no problems at all. It is waterproof to 5000mm (2000mm above what is considered all year round weather spec).
Summer use.
Sewn in groundsheet and mosquito nets on doors, windows, roof vents and all four bedroom compartments, this is what you need to stop the creepy crawlies.
Autumn/Winter use
Used twice both in November 2010 and 2011 in Harrogate North Yorkshire visiting family, very cold indeed and in 2010 we really found out how well it stood up to the wind and rain as it really came down for two days, the wind pulled down the awning i built in front of the tent (wife found that really funny, it took me ages to robinson crusoe it up) and knocked over all the wind breaks and the tent admittedly did feel like it was going to take off but NO, no problems at all, made me happy i choose this tent as our first for family camping trips.

Why are we selling it?
Simply because its a 12 man tent and is just a little to big for our requirements, there are six in my family and although when set up it is really spacious which gives a nice luxury camping feel (cramped tents with no room to store things are a nightmare) and has a huge area in the middle for the kids to sit at a table and play board games and eat on the odd (Ha Ha) uk rainy summer day it does take a little longer to set up and pack away. And obviously because its a big tent it weighs more and packs away larger than a standard six man tent which is now what we have as this year we are touring europe for a month and with three kids, two teenagers(my eldest is bringing a friend,Fantastic another teenager) and a wife it doesn't take alot of imagination to realise space is tight.
So now you know: good tent , good weather proof capabilities, nice and roomy, easy to put up (will need two people) but a little time consuming.
The tent has been used about six times in the last two years, the condition is in my opinion still very good. There are some dirt marks on the groundsheet, all zips, nets toggles, guy lines, pegs etc are all working fine no rips, tears or anything. All poles are there nothing missing. Where the tent poles bend over the top and meet the bottom of the tent/groundsheet via adjustable pole straps, some of the stitching has pulled away on about three of the eight connectors, this happened the first time my wife and i put up the tent and i (according to the wife, like a man) didn't follow the instructions and forced the pole in instead of releasing the toggle which pulled the stitching away, has made no effect on use.
