I've tried various cheaper hard drive coolers on my SCSI drive in the past and after a few months they've succumbed to noise from wear or dust after a year. This time I thought it was simply a matter of buying cheap and paying twice or getting what you really pay for. Most of the instructions were in Chinese but they had enough pictures to give an idea of how it was suppose to fit across a the underside of a hard disk. Not that placing the fixing brackets and matching them to the mounting holes was obvious to begin with, but after some trial and error I did eventually get the hang of it. The build quality is sturdy. It's very light and comes with a standard molex connector and a regular 3-pin main board one. My only difficulty was working which way round the brackets were supposed to go. However, once fitted the fan is very quiet and from what I've felt, more powerful than the usual smaller, cheaper twin sets. Overall a very nice piece of kit. It's been installed for a week now and running OK at the time of this review. So all I can say about it now is so far, so good. Read full review
