i take it back
i bought this to replace my old worn out one i should have known a cheap replacement was not the way to go it is useless unless you use the softest of piping what would take 15 minutes to make 4 new pipes took 3 hrs so i had to go and buy a better made one from another seller

Useless - NEVER use it for a brake line.
Utterly useless. Tool does the FIRST part of the flare reasonably well most of the time (as others have found). To make a safe brake pipe however you need a Double or SAE flare and this is when the tool manages to mangle it almost every single time. Worse than useless - as it *might* look about ok and then start to fail when you need it most. If the kit looks ANYTHING like this - avoid it - they are utterly dismal. Aim for a unit that does JUST the size you want - it will cost around £35 and allow you to make a perfect flare each time and EVERY time. The one you are after looks typically like a black handled "Hammer" with a large chunky silver head. The head contains the special clamp for the ONE size of pipe you need, it then has a tiny pot of special grease, a spacing nut to allow for ... Utterly useless.
