LCD Display is clear and easy to read, with mm/inch prompt. With Caliper fully closed, a Zero Calibration push-button is provided. The construction material is some type of reinforced plastic, with well marked metric and imperial scales. Very sturdy for lightweight environment measurements. It appears to be ideal for fairly simple measurements, both internal and external. It is easy to use but its a pity it cannot be locked at any particular setting. Also, the on-off switch is very sensitive and it is easy to turn it on by accident and not realise it.

An excellent tool if you have eye trouble reading a ruler. Good for hobby use, but it is hardly a 'Vernier' as I understand the term only having an accuracy of 0.1mm. It is light and easy to use, but a bit to easy, as it slides to readily and not having a lock mechanism need extra care when handling. Had it not been for the lock mechanism issue for me it would have got 5 Stars and a 'Yes' for design quality, can't assess Durability after a fortnights use though. But if treated and used with care it does the hobby job for me and for about a Fiver, how can one complain at that?
