The quality is good enough. I have only used PLA so far which works pretty well and there are no missed steps or hardware related issues that I can see. Problems: There is no watchdog timer enabled on this firmware - this is a massive fire risk I managed to crash the stock firmware by starting about 6 prints of the same calibration piece one after the other. The extruder got stuck on and reach about 400 degrees before I realised and switched it off. I would recommend powering off and back on before starting each print to help mitigate this. So far it hasn't crashed during a print although I haven't run for more than a few hours at a time. The firmware isn't great but I am using it without that many issues. The menu system on the display is a bit annoying to navigate around and the buttons seem to do inconsistent things. For example pressing the middle one might select the item or go back to the previous screen seemingly randomly not sure what the cause of that is but you can still do everything after a few attempts. The small wire from one of the micro switches broke internally somewhere so had to re-crimp the connector on a new wire. The instructions are pretty terrible - not many pictures and basically unreadable english. Overall definitely worth it for under £100 but I wouldn't leave it unattended in case it caught fire. Firstly, there IS hope. I've managed to build this printer and print a few basic items. Secondly, the bits in the kit seem reasonably quality. Though you will be sanding down or hacking away at some of the parts to make them fit together. The issue with this printer is the instructions and support. There are 2 instructional PDFs provided. One for the electronics one for the assembly. The electronics instructions fail to cover... end stops, extruded fans, wiring the heated bed or attaching the display. Fortunately with some basic electronics knowhow and a multimeter you'll manage this. The assembly covers about 80% of the build. The rest are instructions taken from a different prusa i3 build with different parts. The best advice will be to expect to get most of the way with this kit. Then rely heavily on the open source community and the help available there. But I definitely think this item is "parts" and not a "kit" or "assembly required" at all.Read full review

I've had the printer for about a month now and the more I use it the more I find to do with it. The build was not without hitches and I consider myself a practical person so it could prove challenging for anyone new to practical projects. However if you are thinking about 3D printing you either are or want to be practical, so if the latter see the build process as the first part of your education :) The important thing to remember is, if you are having a problem, then someone else will have too, so just search online and all will become clear, or at least a bit less obscure. I have been using it now for a couple of weeks and have been printing stuff for home (bird feeders and suchlike) and also work. Some things would have been a problem to make in conventional ways like D shaft adaptors, but with this it's just draw it up, slice it, print it and there's your prototype. Oh yes, and it's great fun! ENJOY!Read full review

Unless you know anything about printers and electronics this printer is not for the feint hearted. It's a nice design but too many bare cables needs some attention. LCD screen does not work and seller not interested in replacing parts or helping. I gave up in the end when I couldn't fathom how to install the software and the seller was unwilling to cooperate. So decided to sell and buy a more basic printer which was very easy to build and wire up and is now printing. This printer as I said is not for beginners but personally I think it just needs a bit more care and attention and it should print. But don't think about contacting sintron as they have no clue about their own product or on how the software works, there are no troubleshooting guide. They do however send you links to the build instruction and software they just don't tell you how to install it. I never got round to powering up this thing and gave up.Read full review
